2. Writing on the web is different when compared to traditional news writing because it involves a lot less writing. The style of writing on the web is very short and to the point. It's not as wordy as the articles you might find in the newspaper. Pictures also play a role in writing on the web. An example of the difference between these two would be NY times. They have a processed and well known newspaper that includes top news stories and articles. They also have an online newspaper which contain the same news, but in a much simpler and shorter version.
3. Blogging, tweeting and texting influence people to attain their daily news in a much easier fashion. These are basically instant news feeds and can deliver everything important going on in a simple way. They give an easier access to what's happening around the world and also in your local area. Twitter displays small bodies of text that can hold up to 140 characters. In these "Tweets" things such as news can be discussed giving people their share of information.
4. The way media was changing in the article "The Distribution Revolution" was amazing. In September 2008 when a hurricane had struck North Carolina people were using Twitter as a way to relay what was happening out to the world. It was basically like a live news feed, but not from professional reporters, but from the people actually there experiencing it all. Robyn Tomlin was one of those "Tweeters." She stated, "I was tweeting all this stuff from my cell phone." Other people joined in on the tweet fest. "We were able to connect with people all over the community who were seeing the same thing. I think that was the first time I thought, 'My goodness, look at what this can do in a situation like this.'" She was astounded by the power this social networking device and how much good it could really do.
